"Zipper"
In 1984 I found myself really wanting a small
dog. I researched the various small breeds, and it soon became apparent that the Papillon breed was the most versatile breed of the Toy Group.
When Zipper was six months old he earned his
first title: Tracking Dog. He weighed all of three and a half pounds at the time. I remember calling his breeder that
night and saying “I’m going to make Zipper the first CH OTCH TDX Toy Dog!” and
she said “Let’s see you do it!” Zipper earned his OTCH in 1989 and his TDX in
1990. Zipper sired a litter in 1991, resulting in our beloved Rudy. We lost our sweet
Zipper on October 25, 1998, at age 14 years and 8 months.
